Jamestown - Miss Rose Ellen Swindler, 89 native of Boone County died Sunday afternoon at the Kennedy Memorial Christian Home Martinsville where she had lived since 1960. Prior to moving to the home she had resided in Indianapolis & Greenwod. She was employed as a home companion 40 years. Born Feb 18 1876 she was the daughter of Robert & Sarah Redenbaugh Swindler. She never married. Survivors are nieces & nephews. Mrs. Ethel Pratt of Advance, Mrs. Oakel Rogers of Ladoga, Wayne Leehe of FiIlmore, Claude Manges and Hazel Lane. Miss Swindler was the last of a family of 13. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home in Jamestown. Burial will be in Old Town Cemetery. Friends may call at the fuenral home after 7 p.m. Monday. - kbz
